Coolum Park Traffic Management Changes

We’ve recently made some important changes to the carpark at Coolum Park; all aimed at improving safety and creating a better experience for everyone who visits.

What’s new?

  • Speed humps have been installed near key pedestrian crossings to help slow down traffic. This allows shoppers — especially those with children, prams, or full trolleys — to cross safely and comfortably.
  • New line markings have been added to improve visibility, guide traffic flow, and make parking easier.

These upgrades were made following a professional traffic safety review, with the goal of reducing risk and prioritising pedestrian safety across the centre.

Why it matters:
Coolum Park is a busy community hub, and we want to ensure that everyone — whether walking or driving — can move through the space safely and confidently. Slower traffic near crossings means fewer near-misses and a more relaxed experience for all.

We understand that changes to traffic flow can take time to adjust to, and we appreciate your patience as the community settles into the new layout.
